About me

A former City lawyer, I struggled for decades with body dysmorphic disorder, anxiety and depression. I can offer empathy and compassion to you in your struggles, whatever they may be, and a safe space to explore who you are, and who you want to become.

Now a BACP registered Humanistic counsellor, I offer online or in-person therapy in the Winchester area. I have experience working with clients with disordered eating as well as a range of other emotional challenges. If you are experiencing self-doubt, anxiety, depression, difficulties with body image or disordered eating—or any other challenge that you would like to talk about—please contact me to arrange an initial thirty-minute call to discuss how I can support you.

Counselling, tailored to you

People seek counselling for a wide range of reasons. Some may come for short-term support with a specific issue or decision, whereas others may choose to engage in longer-term counselling, using the relationship to support them in life.

At its core, counselling is a collaborative process. Building a trusting relationship with another person can be deeply empowering, often bringing greater clarity and perspective to your everyday experiences.

When things feel overwhelming, it can be hard to understand what you need or how to move forward. Counselling offers a confidential and neutral space in which you can reflect on your experiences and explore new ways of being.

While trained in the Humanistic approach, with a focus on Transactional Analysis, I adapt my approach to suit you. I aim to create an empathic and non-judgemental environment in which you can explore yourself and your life.

  • Counselling sessions last 50 minutes, whether in-person or online. Sessions are usually held weekly at the same time, unless otherwise arranged. Depending on your needs, longer sessions or adjustments to frequency can be considered. Extended sessions are charged on a pro rata basis.

  • The first session serves as an assessment, providing an opportunity for me to gather a detailed history, understand the challenges you're facing, and explore what you hope to gain from therapy. It's also a chance for you to get a feel for how I work, and together we can begin to co-create a personalised path forward.
